Hello, Nice To Meet You – We’re Coming to Visit!
There is much news from LIFEHACK HQ! By now you should have heard about some of the changes to the team, but the best news yet is that a couple of our newbies, Alanna & Silvia from the Enspiral Network are coming to a town near you… real soon.
You see, we’ve now gathered the feedback from all of the judges from around the country, and we were really impressed with the ideas and thinking that the teams have put in so far.
We are so pumped about the LIFEHACK projects and community that we decided we had to come meet everyone in person throughout July.
We’ll be meeting one on one with all of the top teams, but we know the LIFEHACK community is much broader. Our philosophy is all about community building, collaboration, and working together, so we want to invite all the supporters, participants, and people interested in LIFEHACK to come to a cafe meetup in each city. We’ll even shout the first coffee.

Silvia and Alanna in the Enspiral Office in Wellington
Alanna was delighted to discover a vibrant social enterprise community in Wellington when she moved to New Zealand in 2011 after living in the US, Asia, and Europe. Through Enspiral, she has jumped in with both feet tackling challenges like online collaborative decision making with Loomio, bringing professionals together to solve social problems in Cambodia, and kicking off Social Enterprise Week in Wellington this August. Alanna has a passion for what happens with people and technology meet to make the world a better place. She believes in the power of collaboration and entrepreneurship to help people direct their passion toward making a real difference.
Silvia grew up on the Kapiti Coast and, after travelling the world, decided to return to Wellington. While overseas she worked for an international youth organisation focusing on mentoring young people to find their initiative in the world, through designing and organising conferences and workshops in Europe and USA. She also worked closely with the Youth Initiative Program. She is excited to see how these skills and experience can develop a new in the LifeHack context. Back in Wellington she got swept into the Enspiral ecosystem where she Co-Founded chalkle – a platform that facilitates new forms of education through connecting people online so that they can learn in class offline. She is also actively involved in hosting Social Enterprise Week and organising the Social Enterprise Conference.
We can’t wait to meet you face to face, and we’re so excited to build the next phase of Lifehack together with you!
