Who are you?

Hi I’m Fran, I’m a Health and Wellbeing Partnership leader with Parks Sport and Recreation at Wellington City Council.

What do you do for you own wellbeing?

I run! I’m training for an ultra-marathon at the moment. I like to spend time in the outdoors  with my dog Ollie, and spend time with my friends and family.

What’s one thing that breaks your heart?

Young women not seeing their potential.

What are you most proud of in your life?

The fact that I care about others and want to make the world a better place.

What does the next 18 months look like for you?

Exciting! I’ll be helping deliver a project around teenage girls engagement in physical activity to increase their wellbeing. I’ll also continue to support two youth trusts in Upper Hutt, and hopefully find time for an overseas adventure!

Describe your community?

I have two communities! The general community that comes under Wellington City Council, and the young people in Upper Hutt. I think its important to work with young people so that they can grow to be happy healthy members of their communities.
